We do recommend previous baking experience in order to fully engage in the challenges.  Because your child can bake whatever he/she chooses to fit the challenge, there are no provided recipes, videos, or tutorials.  We encourage kids to research and learn new techniques, but it may be challenging for very beginner bakers to compete in the challenges.  

Your mystery box will include one or two supplies to be used in each challenge.  It could be an ingredient, a tool, or general baking supplies.  You WILL NEED additional ingredients to complete the challenge.  

The challenges are designed so your child can bake what THEY want.  There isn't a set recipe or dessert they MUST make.  So as far as additional ingredients necessary, you will probably need typical baking ingredients such as flour, sugar, etc, but you can be completely creative when it comes to the ingredients you use for each challenge. You do not necessarily need to buy anything special - in fact, I highly encourage you to DIY it all from whatever you have on hand at home.

You have a few different options if you have siblings that want to participate in the challenges. 

Many families have siblings work together on the challenges.  Others have divided the challenges between their kids, so one child does Challenge 1, one does Challenge 2, etc.  Some challenges do have enough supplies that each child can complete their own challenge, although it is not guaranteed.  

But, I have 2 kids of my own. I get it  Sometimes they want their own and do NOT want to share.  In that case, you can always order a second box and save yourself some parenting sanity.  :)
